Would you like to be better informed?  Would you like to be more involved in your community?  Do you want to make a difference?  Do you wish to share your opinions on issues that affect you and your family life?

Here is a group for you.  We are a group of women and men who care about the issues, study them, take positions, and participate in making policies for the community, the state, and the country.  We are The League of Women Voters.

You can be as involved as you wish.  Some of us are active in any one issue, and some others keep their hands on multiple issues.  Some are deeply involved in local issues only, and some care to participate only in state or national issues. Whatever level of participation is comfortable for you, we have a place for you in the League.

Your membership alone strengthens our ability to do what we do best; non-partisan political advocacy work.  Won't you join us today?

Membership

The League of Women Voters is open to all citizens (women and men alike) who are 18 or older.  Please print and complete the membership application, and mail it to us.  The mailing address is shown on the form.  (You will need Acrobat Reader to read and print the file.)  If you cannot download the form, or prefer having the form mailed to you, please send your mailing address to lwvok@lwvok.org, or contact Jackie Achong at 580-336-6364.

When you join a local LWV, you automatically become a member of the LWV of Oklahoma and the LWV of the United States.  Dues include a subscription to Oklahoma Voter, a LWVOK newsletter, and the quarterly magazine National Voter.  If your local LWV publishes a local Voter, you will receive it, too.  Candidate forums are one of the many programs that the membership dues enable us to run.

To find the local LWV in your area, check out the list in the Local Leagues page.

If you prefer supporting us financially without joining the organization, we appreciate your contribution.  Please print and complete the contribution form, and mail to us.   The mailing address is shown on the form.  You will need Acrobat Reader to read and print the file.
